We had one sell from the portfolio today and that was XON at 52.24. XON gaped below our trailing stop at the open which is why it was removed. Although XON had moved nicely from our initial entry, it hadn't been in the portfolio long enough to remove it while trading in the mid-60s. What appeared to be a normal pullback turned into an outright sell. It happens on occasion and there's little that can be changed if your objective is to catch big winning trades. We managed our risk and position sized correctly which help protect our portfolio from any major harm.
Most stocks that remain are simply consolidating gains or holding ground as they base. With the above sell, the total portfolio is now 35% invested. LXFT reports earnings tomorrow so it's possible that we'll see some additional movement in the price. 56.15 would be the max trailing stop for LXFT.
A few names have fallen off the list, but there are still a handful of quality candidates. A few names to keep an eye on are RTEC, ACLS, MPG, and EMKR. Our current screens are only producing about 260 names to search through as of today. There's been gradual erosion occurring since mid-May. With each bounce fewer and fewer stocks are passing the test. However, it only takes one good setup to make a difference.
